Rochester City Newspaper
Desktop redesign proposal for the Rochester City Newspaper.
I was challenged to redesign the desktop version of the Rochester City Newspaper. The current site has a lot of navigation options and looks very congested. The goal was to condense the navigation and open up the site to make it more visually appealing.
To redesign the website, I had to take a look at the original site and pick out the pros and cons. Then I looked at possible competing alternative news websites to base my design off of. Next, I figured out the type of audience that would be using the sight, and created possible personas who would use it. Then I compiled some inspiration and created user flows to direct my design proposal. After that, I then created a site map, wireframes, and a style guide. From there, I was able to create a mockup as well as Invision Demo.
The Final Product
Several mockup screens were created based on my personas and their user flows. I also created a PDF presentation to show my process from start to finish of the redesign. This proposal would ideally be adapted by the Rochester City Newspaper as their new interface.
